In the newest music video by rapper Babyface Ray, a man’s girlfriend betrays him and works with other men to attempt to take down his operation. The video portrays Babyface Ray as some kind of crime lord and ends with him outsmarting his girlfriend and saving himself. Scenes are gritty and dark, and there’s a motif of chess games throughout the video which reflects progress made by either Babyface or his girlfriend as they duke it out over a drug-distribution scheme. The underlying song has a serious and concern-evoking beat while Babyface Ray lays down bars about storytelling and lessons learned from his experience in the streets.
