UnoTheActivist’s second 2022 project, titled ‘Limbus 3’,
includes fresh production and super energetic, bouncy beats which would sound
great with features from Yeat or Summrs. The instrumentals on Me Time!
and Twin Nem sound right up Yeat’s alley, as they excessively use church
bells for their transitory sections. Uno’s vocals are somewhat muddy and low-energy
in contrast with his beats, and oftentimes feel poorly mixed. As with previous
projects, UnoTheActivist takes heavy influence from Playboi Carti flows and
rhyme schemes. Unfortunately, the album feels way too long, with many songs
sounding unfinished and rough. If the album was shortened to 10-12 of his best
picks and mixing issues were solved, this would be a much better project.
Several singles carry the album, including PAY UP!, Monstar and Praise
God. Songs like Slave and Dumb Thots are conceptually interesting
but would greatly benefit from a cleaner mix. Other honorable mentions include Withdrawals
and By Any Means.
