It's Only Mid; The Newest Lil Baby Album Lacks Originality

Lil Baby's new album entitled 'It's Only Me' seriously lacks new ideas. Most songs contain identical energy and song structure from previous projects, with uninspiring and over-used flows. Some beats on the album take risks and have progressive-sounding drums, but others feel years old with their lack of originality. The track California Breeze has an interesting beat and shows that Lil Baby could expand his sound and get creative if he really wanted to. Forever has another interesting instrumental but the artist’s verse feels unfinished and rough. There’s even a track titled Not Finished which ironically sounds like Lil Baby took the song’s leaked mp3 off of SoundCloud and had his engineer remaster it as quick as possible. For Lil Baby to remain relevant going forward, he’ll likely need to change significant elements of his vocal structure and flows in order to keep the hype high around his releases. Overall, the album is way too long and has a lot of filler tracks. If it were cut down to the best ten songs, the resulting album might have received better reviews. All extra tracks should have been saved for a deluxe album or additional project.
